Varied Ultrasound

During your pregnancy you can have different Ultrasounds for different reasons. Ultrasounds can be used to follow the condition of your baby’s growth and wellbeing and can also be done for “fun”. At Cas di Partera we offer the following ultrasounds

Ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy

This is to confirm the pregnancy and see the heartbeat of the embryo between 7 to 10 weeks. This ultrasound usually has to be done vaginal to see it well. It is important to not urinate 1 hour before the exam.

Ultrasound for Fun

Whenever there is no medical reason, but you want to have another look at your baby, you can ask to do an “Ultrasound for Fun.” We recommend doing this before 28 weeks to get some lovely images. After this, the Baby will be too big.

Ultrasound to determine the Sex

As of 18 weeks pregnancy we can determine the the sex of your baby. Remember that sometimes it is not possible to determine a 100% what sex it will be. In that case we offer to return for a second time after a couple of days.

Ultrasound to determine the expected delivery date

At 10 weeks of pregnancy, it is ideal for measuring the baby to calculate the expected delivery date. If it is not clear abdominal, it might still be necessary to perform a vaginal ultrasound. It is essential not to urinate 1 hour before the exam. During the exam, you will see the heartbeat and, more likely, some movements.

Ultrasound 3D / 4D

Would you like to know who your baby resembles? What would your baby look like? This Ultrasound is the one you should do! Ideally is to do this between 28 to 32 weeks of pregnancy. You will get very realistic images of what the baby will look like. We will record pictures (3D) and video (4D) images on a USB stick. Keep in mind that there is a possibility if the baby is not in an ideal position that, you cannot see its face. In that case, we will offer you to return once more.

During any Ultrasound that you will do at Cas di Partera you have the option to buy a USB stick to record the images.
