Each delivery is different and unique, which is why each person experiences it differently and in their own way.
When you are in labor and are instructed to go to the Delivery room, you will be attended by the Delivery Nurse who will do the first assessment which consists of:
- Monitor check up; this will register if there are any contractions and also the heartbeat of the baby
- Vaginal toucher; this is to determine if and how much the cervix has dilated The Midwife will be informed and will decide if you need to be admitted or can still go home.
